Packing for boarding isn't complicated, but bringing the right things helps your dog settle faster and keeps the first day about comfort, not paperwork. Here's our tried-and-tested checklist.
The essentials
- Your dog's usual food, pre-portioned if you can (sudden diet changes upset stomachs)
- Any medication, clearly labelled with doses and timing
- Up-to-date vaccination records
- Emergency contact details for you and your vet
Comfort from home
Familiar smells are reassuring in a new place. A worn t-shirt, a favourite blanket or a well-loved toy helps an anxious dog relax far faster than anything brand new.
What to leave at home
Skip anything you'd be heartbroken to lose, and avoid rawhide or hard chews that need supervision. When in doubt, ask us — we're happy to advise.
